Cookie Policy

Plain-English explanation of every browser-side storage key ProxyLook uses, why it exists, and how to remove it.

What ProxyLook stores in your browser

ProxyLook does not set third-party tracking cookies. Everything below is first-party browser localStorage — values that live only in your browser, never sent to our servers.

Key Purpose Lifetime
pl-themeRemembers if you toggled to dark mode.Until you clear it
pl-compareList of providers you pinned to compare side-by-side.Until you clear it
pl-favsProviders you saved with the heart icon — surfaced at /favorites.Until you clear it

Third-party services

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which sets a single __cf_bm bot-management cookie. We do not run analytics that drop tracking cookies, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no advertising trackers.

When you click through to a proxy provider via an affiliate link, that provider's site may set its own cookies — those are governed by the provider's privacy policy, not ours.

How to clear your data

The Favorites page has a "Clear all" button that empties pl-favs. To clear everything ProxyLook has stored, open your browser's site settings for proxylook.com and choose "Clear data" — this removes the keys above without affecting other sites.
