What is an Anti-Detect Browser?
An anti-detect browser is a specialized web browser that creates isolated browsing environments with unique digital fingerprints. Unlike regular browsers, anti-detect browsers prevent websites from linking your multiple accounts together by masking browser fingerprints, WebGL data, canvas fingerprints, and other tracking identifiers.
Key Features Include:
- Fingerprint Management - Unique browser fingerprints for each profile
- Proxy Integration - Built-in support for residential and datacenter proxies
- Team Collaboration - Share profiles and work with team members
- Automation Support - Selenium, Puppeteer, and API integrations
How does an anti-detect browser work?
Every time you open a normal browser, the site you visit reads dozens of signals — your user agent, screen resolution, time zone, installed fonts, language, WebGL and Canvas rendering output, audio-stack fingerprint, and hardware concurrency. Combined, these form a near-unique browser fingerprint that lets platforms link separate accounts back to one device, even across different proxies or cleared cookies.
An anti-detect browser breaks that link by giving each profile its own isolated, internally-consistent fingerprint and storage sandbox:
- 1.Fingerprint spoofing. The browser substitutes a coherent set of values (OS, GPU, fonts, screen, time zone) so the profile looks like a genuine, distinct device — not a patched-together fake that anti-bot systems flag.
- 2.Proxy binding. Each profile routes through its own residential, ISP, or mobile proxy, so the IP location matches the spoofed time zone and locale. Mismatches (US fingerprint on a German IP) are a classic ban trigger the browser helps you avoid.
- 3.Storage isolation. Cookies, localStorage, cache, and IndexedDB are sealed per profile, so platforms can't cross-reference shared trackers between your accounts.
- 4.Cloud sync & automation. Profiles sync across a team via the cloud, and Selenium / Puppeteer / Playwright APIs let you script actions at scale without re-triggering detection.
The result: you can run many parallel accounts — for ad verification, e-commerce, affiliate testing, or social-media management — each appearing as a separate, trustworthy visitor.
How ProxyLook tests anti-detect browsers
We score every browser on the same four editorial dimensions, weighting hands-on usage over marketing claims. Ratings are our independent assessment on published specs and real account setups — not paid placements.
Onboarding, profile creation speed, UI clarity, and how quickly a non-technical operator can launch a clean profile.
Free-profile allowance, price per additional profile, team seats, and what each paid tier actually unlocks.
Fingerprint depth, proxy/cookie management, automation APIs, cloud profiles, bulk import, and mobile/Android support.
Response times, live-chat availability, documentation depth, and how well the team handles real setup issues.
