How we make money
ProxyLook earns affiliate commissions when you click through to a proxy provider from our site and then sign up. Every outbound link to a provider is tagged with our affiliate code and marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML. Commissions typically run 10–30% of your first month, or a flat referral fee of $20–$200 depending on the provider's program.
Affiliate revenue does not change rankings. The methodology we use to score providers is published at /methodology and runs the same for every brand in the directory, regardless of whether we earn from them.
Our editorial firewall
- No provider has ever paid us to write a positive review or to suppress a negative one.
- We pay for our own provider accounts to test products. We do not accept free credit in exchange for coverage.
- Editorial scores come from the test rig and manual evaluation only. The team writing reviews is not the same team negotiating affiliate contracts.
- If we accept a sponsored placement (e.g., a clearly-labeled "Sponsored" tile in the directory grid), it is visually separated from editorial content and never alters the ranking of editorial picks.
- If a fact in a review is wrong, we correct it in writing within 5 business days of being told. Email [email protected].
Brands we have an affiliate relationship with
The following 99 providers in our directory have an active affiliate program that we are enrolled in. Clicking a "Visit site" or "Start trial" button on any of their pages may generate a commission for ProxyLook. The list is updated continuously.
What this means for you
Clicking an affiliate link on ProxyLook never costs you extra — most of our partners pass on their best public discount through our links, and several offer ProxyLook readers an exclusive promo code that you would not get going to their homepage directly. If you want to support independent proxy testing, the cleanest way is to use our links when you sign up. If you would rather not, every provider's name in our directory is also a regular link to their homepage.
Questions about a specific relationship? Email [email protected] — we will tell you exactly what we earn from any provider you ask about.
